T1 face defending champs RNG in this historic matchup against their storied rivals. In 2013, SK Telecom T1 and Royal Club met for the Summoner’s Cup at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. This was the night that The Unkillable Demon King took over the world by defeating Royal in a one-sided sweep. Since then, the two organizations have become pillars of their respective regions, waging a decade-long rivalry between the two powerhouses of Asia.


And yet, no matter how close they’ve come, the Chinese organization has failed to overcome their South Korean archrival. The two orgs have matched in four previous international tournaments, with T1 exiting as the winner each time. With both organizations having won two MSI championships previously, this final will determine who will be the first to add a third to their collection.
